A standard low-speed dial-up Internet connection is all that is required for both suppliers and pharmacies. There is no need for a permanent connection. Suppliers can use a permanent connection or a periodic dial-up line to download orders from the PSLnet Central and send out shipping advices and invoices by secure PSLnet messages.

If your POS system allows you to place electronic orders on the major wholesalers now, then you can join PSLnet quickly and easily. We will do the work and coordinate with your POS system vendor to get you on board.
For suppliers, we will connect your ERP or Order Entry system to PSLnet using our PSLPost software and adapter. The adapter translates the PSLnet messages into a format for your system so you can accept the orders and send out the invoices with no manual intervention. Simple, fast and convenient.
The PSLnet program allows pharmacists to place orders and receive shipping and invoice information electronically with your suppliers. Control of the order, quantities, pack sizes, delivery instructions and shipping details remain in the hands of the pharmacy.
Once the order is placed, however, PSLnet is no different from normal trading terms: your order becomes a legal commitment by you to purchase from the supplier in the same way as you do business with that supplier now.
Orders can be made manually in much the same way as they are produced now. Pharmacy can send these orders through to the supplier in the same way they do now, e.g. fax or the rep.
PSLnet can bring back the shipping details on the order, giving the pharmacy timely information on when it should arrive and allowing a simple electronic take-up of the information into the POS system. No more manual data entry is necessary.
